Just a few clarification of terms before we get to the actual narrating. HelpMASDogs (Help Mandaluyong Animal Shelter Dogs) refers to the group of volunteers (spearheaded by Ms. Li) who help the dogs and the shelter while MAS refers to the actual location: Mandaluyong Animal Shelter. It seems to be a common misconception so let me clarify that before we proceed. :)

I wrote an article for HelpMASDogs for wheninmanila.com late last year and I was so glad to know that the small act got them more volunteers and donations. The article was posted around September 2016, if I'm not mistaken, and fast forward to March 2017, I decided to help out further.

I am once again nearly two weeks late in posting my previous month's recap but anyway, it's better late than never, I guess...?

March had been a crazy whirlwind of so many things in nearly all aspects of my life. There were quite a lot of downs this month but things ended up falling back in place nonetheless. Demotivation hit me hard for weeks but just as March slowly came to an end, some spark of inspiration happened hence the rebranding and relaunching of this blog. Funny, 'cause here I am, wanting to be that spark of inspiration for young creatives to keep on keeping on, but here I go yapping about demotivation. Well, I guess that's the reality of it - there are days when the dark side would win but what's important is that, after spending a few dark days, we get back up on track.

What Branding Lessons Back in College Taught Me (Plus Reintroducing This Blog!)

As an advertising graduate, one of the key lessons that was reiterated throughout my 4 years of college is how branding is the core of everything. Without a proper branding, everything will just go haywire.

From simple classroom reports to big-time thesis defenses, all the campaigns we proposed started with a brand core which basically speaks about who they are as a brand. Under it comes all sorts of other technical things like who they are talking to and what message they want to relay.
